Job : Business Development Manager.

Reporting to: DGM Sales/Branch Manager-Chennai.

Location: Tuticorin.

Responsibilities.

- Generate Sales leads for the assigned territory for dry and other special equipment and revenue through independently growing existing account lines and soliciting new customers.

- Develop business and achieve target in line with the sales plan to move the volume of all types of containers for the assigned territory.

- Identify and reach out to potential customers in need of all types of containers and send to targeted sectors across Goodrich Logistics group.

- Proactively maximize and manage volumes, revenue and margins in order to deliver optimal results.

- Established strong relationships with major accounts and key decision-makers to increase sales in designated territory.

- Generate leads through various channels, including cold calls, emails, and networking etc.

- Keep a track record of the market and find strategies to increase conversions and volumes in the NVOCC industry.

- Report sales activity, generated sales quotations, RFQs and proposals and maintained customer contact database to achieve sales objectives.

- Negotiate prices and terms of sale with customers.

- Achieving targets by convincing customers for best freight rates and ensuring timely collection as per the process.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

- Provide exceptional after-sales service and support.

- Stay in regular contact with customers to ensure repeat business.

- Understanding the current market trends, industry regulations, pricing dynamics, and global trade patterns.

Qualifications: Any graduate (MBA preferred).

Experience: 8-12 years' experience in NVOCC/Freight forwarding Industry.

Skillset:.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in english and in local language.

- Customer Centric.

- Target Oriented.

- Good understanding and updates for Trade is required.

- Good Negotiation skills -Ability to negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to get the best deals while maintaining profitability.

- Should have good relationship with Shipping lines.

- Good Knowledge of commercials of all sectors, trade lanes for general, odc, project Cargo,Reefer cargo, special equipment etc.

- Good knowledge of Hazardous Commercials of all classes.

- Presentation Skills.

- Team Player.

- Expertise in data analysis, negotiation and strategy to increase business.
