AI Intern – Natural Language Reporting & Insights

Project Duration: 2 Months

Location: Chennai – On Site

About the Project:

We are enhancing our artwork management platform, used by FMCG and pharma clients for workflow management, copy management, and proofing. The project aims to enable customized report generation from natural language queries, automatically converting them into SQL queries, fetching relevant data, and generating actionable insights. These insights will help clients pinpoint workflow bottlenecks, delays, and rework patterns, while mapping them directly to their KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a Natural Language to SQL query engine for dynamic, user-driven reporting
  • Build pipelines to fetch, process, and visualize database results based on user queries
  • Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) for domain-specific query understanding and optimization
  • Apply data analytics and machine learning techniques to identify workflow bottlenecks and trends
  • Integrate AI models into Flask/Django-based APIs for seamless platform integration
  • Develop KPI-focused dashboards and visualizations for business insights
  • Experiment with prompt engineering for accuracy in query interpretation
  • Document the architecture, workflows, and findings for technical and client-facing use

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Machine learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Azure OpenAI)
  • Prompt engineering and fine-tuning for LLMs
  • Familiarity with NL-to-SQL frameworks or semantic search methods
  • Knowledge of data visualization (e.g., Plotly, Matplotlib, Dash, Streamlit)
  • Strong debugging and rapid prototyping skills
  • Text-to-Structure transformations (Natural Language → SQL, JSON, etc.)
