Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to help scale, secure, and support Rapid7's global network infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on operational excellence, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will work with a collaborative team to ensure our networks remain secure, resilient, and ready for growth.Responsibilities : - Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, WLAN).- Support and maintain network security controls including Palo Alto firewalls, and secure remote access.- Perform daily monitoring and incident response to ensure availability and performance.- Implement infrastructure changes and upgrades in line with change management processes.- Automate repeatable tasks using scripting (Python, Golang) or frameworks.- Partner with InfoSec, IT, and Cloud teams to deliver secure, integrated solutions.- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.- Participate in on-call rotation/escalation for critical incidents.- Support connectivity and security in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).- Stay current with emerging networking and security technologies.Qualifications : - 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking (routing, switching, VPNs).- 3+ years working with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.- Strong knowledge of network security standards, compliance, and best practices.- Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and prioritization skills.- Coding skills in Python or Golang, with an automation-first approach.- Certifications : CCNA, CCNP (others like OSCP a plus).Nice to Have : - Knowledge of IAM and Zero Trust frameworks.- Familiarity with AI-driven networking and security tools.- Experience with vulnerability assessment or penetration testing tools.
