About the Role We are seeking an experiencedCost Engineerwith expertise inelectromechanical and electronic hardware costingforconsumer products, life sciences, and energy domains . This role focuses onproduct teardown, should-cost analysis, VAVE workshops , andcost optimization for PCBA, wire harnesses, displays, battery modules, and other active/passive components . You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drivevalue engineering and supply chain efficiency .Key Responsibilities PerformProduct TeardownandShould-Cost Analysisfor electromechanical products Develop and maintaincost modelsfor: PCBA, Wire Harnesses Displays (LCD, OLED, TFT), Connectors, Sensors Battery Modules and Electronic Components AnalyzeGerber files, schematics, and BOMsfor accurate cost estimation Identifycost drivers , benchmark against industry standards, and supportsupplier negotiations LeadVAVE workshopsto identify cost-saving opportunities Collaborate withdesign and sourcing teamsto optimize PCBA layouts and reduce electronic component costs Supportnew product developmentwith early cost estimation Analyzesupplier quotes and manufacturing processesfor cost validation Drivelocalization strategiesandsupply chain cost reduction Monitormarket trends, technology shifts, and cost fluctuationsin electronics manufacturing Maintain arepository of costing methodologies and historical cost-saving case studies Prepare and presentcost analysis reports and value engineering proposalsto stakeholdersRequired Skills & Qualifications Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field Experience:3–8 years inShould Costing and Value Engineeringfor electronics hardware Strong understanding of: PCBA design and manufacturing Wire harnessing, display technologies, and electronic component sourcing Proven track record ofachieving measurable cost savingsthrough engineering and sourcing strategies Excellentanalytical, communication, and collaboration skills Familiarity withCOTS toolslike Siemens TcPCM, aPriori, SEER
