Position Overview:

As a Freight Broker at Phoenix Brokerage Inc., you will be responsible for matching our

clients' shipping needs with carriers' capacities. You will negotiate rates, manage

shipments, and build strong relationships with both clients and carriers. Your role is

crucial in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers.
  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers.
  • Coordinate and schedule shipments.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during transit.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the freight and logistics industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using freight management software.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn and an open-minded approach.
