In July2019, Espressif made its Initial Public Offering on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board (STAR) ofthe Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE).Espressif’s Technology Center in Pune (Baner), India focuses on Digital IP development, embedded software engineering and IoT solutions development for our growing customers.About RoleThe candidate will be responsible for WLAN Driver/FW design and development for Espressif Wi-Fi chips.This includes implementing functionality as per 802.11 standard as well as custom WiFi solutions.The candidate will also be responsible for supporting Espressif customers with different WiFi features.Minimum QualificationStrong Computer Science Fundamentals.Technical experience in developing WLAN firmware/driverStrong C design and coding skills and experience in low-level SW debugging (interaction with HW)Strong understanding of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MAC layer and Wi-Fi STA/AP functionality, with experience developing and debugging Wi-Fi drivers in Linux, Windows, or RTOS environments.BE/B.Tech in Computer Science with minimum 3 to 8 years of experience.Nice to have skillsUnderstanding of WiFi PHY concepts such as OFDM, MIMO, beam-forming, antenna basics.WiFi-BT coex debugging.Experience in RTOS programming(Threadx/FreeRTOS/other) for ARM/Xtensa microprocessors.Prior experience in developing WiFi protocols such as WPS, P2P, WiFi-Aware and others.What to expect from our interview processThe first step is to email your resume or apply to the relevant open position, along with a sample of something you have worked on such as a public GitHub repo or side project etc.Next, post shortlisting your profile recruiter will get in touch with you via a mechanism that works for you e.g. via email, phone.
