Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis
  • Understand hedge fund accounting workflows: NAV calculation, trade capture, cash/position reconciliations, performance fees, and investor allocations.
  • Work with Fund Accounting teams to document functional and technical requirements for system enhancements.
  • Process & System Improvements
  • Collaborate with technology teams to enhance fund accounting platforms (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, Eagle, Calypso, Charles River, or proprietary systems).
  • Identify gaps, streamline reconciliations, automate manual processes, and improve data integrity.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts:
  • NAV, accruals, P&L attribution, fee structures (management & incentive/performance), side pockets, share classes.
  • Experience with fund administration systems (Geneva, Investran, Advent, or equivalent).
  • Business analysis skills: requirements gathering, process modeling, UAT, documentation.
  • Understanding of financial instruments: equities, fixed income, derivatives (swaps, options, futures, FX).
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools for data analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills.
