About the Role:

The Investment Operations Analyst ensures efficient execution and settlement of investment transactions, accurate portfolio record-keeping, and support for portfolio managers. This role involves enhancing operational processes, mitigating risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining thorough documentation. Additionally, it includes maintaining relationships with various brokers, and wealth managers, managing international accounts, and maintaining Management Information Systems (MIS).


Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Management: Execute and settle trades, reconcile confirmations and settlements, and resolve issues with brokers and custodians.
  • Portfolio Administration: Maintain portfolio records, perform reconciliations, and generate performance reports.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to policies and regulations, develop risk management strategies, and identify and escalate risks.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and improve operational processes, and collaborate on system upgrades.
  • Client Support: Assist portfolio managers and clients with operational inquiries, and prepare client reports.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of transactions, processes, and operational procedures, including accounts with various brokers, wealth managers, and international accounts, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, wealth managers, and custodians, both domestic and international, to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Management Information Systems (MIS): Maintain and update MIS to track and report on key operational metrics, ensuring data accuracy and availability for decision-making.
  • Market and Sector Analysis: Track and analyze various sectors and markets in India, including public and private markets. Conduct comprehensive research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks affecting different industries.
  • Financial Modelling and Analysis: Develop and maintain Excel financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, and project financial performance, and assess business viability and valuation.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Create visually appealing and informative PowerPoint presentations to communicate analysis findings, investment recommendations, and business insights to stakeholders.
  • Investment Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of public and private market investments in India, including equities, fixed income, venture capital, and private equity.
