AS400 Engineer

We are looking for an experienced individual who has strong knowledge base in the operation and maintenance of AS400 Systems to join our Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities :

- AS/400 System i with iASP administration with experience / exposure in the related hardware/software areas.

- IBMi iASP (iseries) server technologies including planning and implementation of upgrades with HMC and VIOS managements.

- OS400 security, BRMS backup, operations monitoring, alerting, data replication and SKLM encryption.

- Manage software like IBM-MQ, CDC Replication, Robot products and related SIEM tools.

- Planning/Review and implementation of IBMi-OS, PTFs and application software upgrades.

- Good knowledge of SQL, CL, and MS Office Tools (including MS Access).

- Troubleshooting skills for data, application/system performance problems by utilizing tools like IBM idoctor, performance manager and Job watcher.

Requirements :

- Minimum 9 years of experience in iSeries/AS400 System Administration environment with work management, user management, journal management and performance management.

- Minimum 9 years of Technical Support experience in Storage Administration, Virtualization, Backup & DR Experience in administration and troubleshooting of AS400 system i running on iASP model.

- Good knowledge in TCP/IP protocols.

- Knowledge in ACS client installation and setup.

- Experience in iASP environment with Power HA, Admin Domain, and copy services.

- Knowledge of AS400 networked systems, access and security guidelines and procedures.

- Good knowledge on IBM products like Websphere-MQ, CDC, iCluster replication, BRMS, ROBOT scheduler and SKLM encryption.

- Experience in ITIL processes.

- Must be able to work as part of a BAU project support & Infra teams.

- Must be able to multitask and management of multiple initiatives when required.

- Willing to work after office hours, weekends for deployment activities when required.
