Description : Responsibilities : - Design and Develop Traffic Management Solutions : Leading the design, development, and maintenance of solutions to manage network traffic efficiently.- Optimize Network Operations : Improve efficiency through enhanced caching strategies and PoP optimization.- Develop High-Performance Applications : Utilize C/C++ and Go to create robust applications.- Manage Scalability on Kubernetes : Deploy and oversee scalable systems.- Cyber Security and Observability : Implement measures to protect network infrastructure and monitor system health.- Collaborate and Mentor : Work with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions and guide junior engineers.- Contribute to Open-Source and Patented Innovation : Lead projects and innovations to keep eBay at the forefront of technology.Technical Skills : - Proficiency in C/C++ and Go, Low level Linux networking, Kubernetes, and caching strategies.Soft Skills : - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.Preferred Skills : - Experience with Envoy for traffic management.- Experience with low level Linux networking and distributed systems.- Contributions to open-source projects.- Relevant certifications and experience in large-scale environments.- Familiarity with Java or other frameworks.- Experience in Agile methodologies and patent creation.
