Join Verdantas – A Top #ENR 81 Firm Driving Sustainable ProgressWe are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Microsoft 365 Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our Microsoft 365 tenant. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall health, performance, and governance of the M365 environment, including core services like Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and the security & compliance suite. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can translate business needs into technical solutions while ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.Key ResponsibilitiesM365 Tenant Management & Administration:Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant, including domain management, subscription and license management, and service health monitoring.Implement and manage user identity and access using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), including user/group provisioning, password policies, and self-service password reset.Configure and manage security and compliance features, including Security Defaults/Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).Exchange Online & Collaboration:Manage Exchange Online, including mailbox configuration, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and mail flow rules (transport rules).Administer SharePoint Online, including site collection management, external sharing settings, and permissions.Support and configure Microsoft Teams, Teams policies, and associated services like OneDrive for Business.Security, Compliance, and Support:Monitor service health and security alerts using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Microsoft Defender portals.Develop and execute procedures for data governance, retention, and eDiscovery in compliance with company policies.Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex issues related to M365 services, working closely with the help desk team.Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and policies.Planning & Optimization:Stay current with new M365 features and technologies, making recommendations for adoption to improve business processes and security.Plan and execute the migration of on-premises workloads (e.g., file shares, mailboxes) to M365 services.Generate usage reports and analytics to guide decision-making and optimize license costs.Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience administering a Microsoft 365 environment.Technical Skills:Proven expertise in user and group management within the Microsoft 365 admin center and Azure AD.Hands-on experience in M365, including Exchange, SPO, OneDrive, Viva Engage, Planner, and Copilot. Strong knowledge of Exchange Online management (mailboxes, rules, anti-spam/anti-malware).Experience with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business administration.Solid understanding of core security concepts: MFA, Conditional Access (a plus), and security best practices.Proficiency in PowerShell (MSOnline, Exchange Online, SharePoint PnP) for automation and bulk operations.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications (What will make a candidate stand out)Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate (MS-102) or equivalent certification.Experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management (MDM/MAM).Experience with advanced security and compliance tools in Microsoft Purview (e.g., DLP, eDiscovery, Audit Logs).Experience implementing and managing Azure AD Connect for hybrid identity.Knowledge of Microsoft Teams voice configuration (Direct Routing, Calling Plans).Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) administration.
