SharePoint (On-Prem and Online) AdministrationLocation: HyderabadExperience: 8-15 yearsImmediate Joiners.Kindly share resume to nsenthil.kumar@genpact.com with Sub of "SharePoint" along with notice period.The Collaboration Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise collaboration platforms, including Microsoft SharePoint (On-Prem & Online), Microsoft Teams, and associated governance and lifecycle tools such as Teams Manager, ShareGate, and HYCU.This role will oversee configuration, governance, and lifecycle management to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient collaboration across digital and physical environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem administration, governance frameworks, and collaboration technology planning.Responsibilities1. SharePoint (On-Prem and Online) Administration- Oversee configuration and lifecycle management of SharePoint communication, team, and hub sites. - Define and enforce governance and permissions models aligned with organizational policies. - Support site creation, archival, and retirement processes with proper documentation. - Ensure configuration-only management; customizations require Client approval. - Manage content lifecycle and compliance policies in accordance with IT governance standards.2. Microsoft Teams Administration- Manage the configuration and lifecycle of Teams, channels, templates, and policies aligned with Microsoft best practices. - Oversee integration with Microsoft 365 services such as Planner, OneNote, Stream, and SharePoint. - Define and enforce standards for team creation, naming conventions, and archival processes. - Administer compliance, retention, and data loss prevention (DLP) configurations. - Maintain and monitor HYCU backup and restore processes for Teams data.3. Teams Manager- Configure and manage Teams Manager provisioning workflows and templates. - Enforce naming conventions, lifecycle policies, and approval workflows. - Integrate Teams Manager with Active Directory and Microsoft Teams for automation and compliance.4. ShareGate Administration- Utilize ShareGate for migration, governance, and reporting activities across SharePoint and Teams. - Plan and execute migrations, clean-ups, and restructuring efforts. - Generate and analyze reports for usage analytics, orphaned sites, and permissions audits. - Ensure governance reporting is aligned with compliance and audit requirements.5. HYCU Backup & Recovery- Manage HYCU for backup and recovery of Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams data. - Perform regular backup testing and validation to ensure data integrity. - Generate periodic reports on backup usage, success rates, and compliance posture. - Ensure all backup and retention processes adhere to Client policies and data protection standards.6. Collaboration Spaces (Physical & Virtual)- Oversee planning and support for collaboration spaces, including AV systems, conference tools, and booking systems. - Coordinate with Facilities and IT for equipment lifecycle planning, refresh cycles, and budgeting. - Ensure seamless integration of physical collaboration technologies with Microsoft 365 services. - Maintain asset inventory and refresh timelines for all collaboration hardware.7. Platform Governance & Standards- Develop and maintain governance policies for creation, usage, and lifecycle of Teams and SharePoint sites. - Ensure all configurations adhere strictly to organizational and Microsoft best practices. - Implement automation for lifecycle and governance enforcement where applicable. - Review and document all customizations, extensions, and configuration changes for audit readiness.8. Upgrades & Release Management- Manage tool upgrades (Teams, SharePoint, ShareGate, Teams Manager, HYCU) in line with vendor release cycles. - Perform pre-upgrade testing and post-upgrade validation in non-production environments. - Ensure zero downtime during production upgrades. - Communicate planned changes, timelines, and impacts to stakeholders and end users.9. License & Usage Management- Oversee license management for M365, Teams Manager, ShareGate, and collaboration technologies. - Monitor active and inactive users to optimize license utilization. - Track usage and adoption metrics (e.g., active Teams, SharePoint site usage, meeting utilization). - Recommend license adjustments and cost optimizations based on usage analytics.10. Budget Forecasting for Collaboration Spaces- Lead annual and quarterly budget forecasting for collaboration technology hardware and software. - Plan for equipment refresh cycles, AV upgrades, and new installations. - Collaborate with Finance, Facilities, and IT to align capital and operational budgets. - Maintain asset inventories, refresh timelines, and vendor contracts for collaboration spaces.Qualifications we seek in youMinimum Qualifications- Experience in Digital Workplace / Collaboration / IT Infrastructure roles. - Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive). - Experience with SharePoint On-Prem (2016/2019) and hybrid environments. - Hands-on experience with Teams Manager, ShareGate, and HYCU backup platforms. - Proven experience in governance, lifecycle management, and compliance administration. - Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Power Platform integrations. - Familiarity with AV conferencing technologies and room system integration with M365. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Preferred Qualifications/ Skills- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or SharePoint Administrator Associate. - ITIL Foundation certification (for process and governance alignment). - Experience managing enterprise-scale collaboration environments. - Familiarity with automation scripting (PowerShell, Graph API). - Exposure to governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2). - Strong leadership and collaboration skills. - Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Facilities, Finance). - High accountability, attention to detail, and focus on service excellence. - Proactive mindset for identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
