Job Description : Senior SDET / Test Automation Engineer (EDA Domain)Experience : 4 - 8 yearsLocation : Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad/Pune (Specify)Job Type : Full-Time, On-site/HybridAbout the Role :We are seeking a highly proficient Senior SDET/Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in building robust test frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in scripting and automation, coupled with an understanding of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) flows. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our complex software products through innovative test strategies and automation.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable test automation frameworks from scratch.- Write and execute complex test scripts using Python and Perl for functional, regression, and integration testing.- Integrate automated test suites into the Jenkins CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.- Develop and implement automation for validating EDA tool outputs, including simulation results, log files, and reports.- Collaborate with development teams to understand product features, review technical designs, and implement end-to-end test scenarios.- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and quality metrics reports.- Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout the testing cycle using JIRA or similar tools.- Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Technical Skills & Qualifications :Must-Have :- 4+ years of proven experience in test automation and framework development.- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python is mandatory.- Hands-on experience with Perl scripting for test automation and tool validation.- Proven expertise in integrating test automation with Jenkins and configuring CI/CD pipelines.- In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management.- Experience in creating test documentation : Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Traceability Matrix.Good-to-Have :- Background in EDA (Electronic Design Automation) or semiconductor domain.- Experience in validating EDA tool outputs (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor tools).- Knowledge of IP validation methodologies and workflows.- Familiarity with version control systems (Git), and test management tools.What We Offer :- Competitive compensation and benefits package.- Clear career growth path with opportunities for technical leadership.- Flexible work arrangements and a collaborative work environment.- Sponsorship for relevant certifications and skill development programs.- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the semiconductor space.
