Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial activities of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. This role involves managing financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Develop and manage the company’s annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  1. Accounting & Compliance:
  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  1. Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Develop strategies to optimize working capital and manage debt.
  1. Financial Strategy & Risk Management:
  • Provide strategic financial input to senior management on decisions affecting the company.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective planning and control measures.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team members are well-trained and up-to-date with the latest financial practices and regulations.
  1. Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present financial reports and strategic recommendations to the senior management team and board of directors.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA/CA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3+ years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Edtech is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Zoho, Tally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
