Opptra - Product Manager - Personal Care Appliances

We are building a next-generation global brand franchise business designed to help high-potential brands expand into key international markets. Our mission is to empower brands to achieve sustainable growth through end-to-end solutions - including market entry strategy, brand and marketing management, compliance oversight, channel optimization, logistics, fulfillment, and advanced store management technology. Our Personal Care Appliances (PCA) portfolio features global beauty and grooming brands with a footprint in India and GCC, and plans to expand into South East Asia.
Role Overview:
As Product Manager - Personal Care Appliances, you will lead the development, lifecycle management, and market readiness of the Elle personal care appliances portfolio. You will work cross-functionally with sourcing teams in China, category managers, marketing, and quality control to ensure competitive, high-quality, and timely product launches across multiple geographies.
This is a high-impact role for a product leader with strong category knowledge, supplier management expertise, and the ability to navigate multi-market product launches.
Key Strategy & Roadmap:
- Define and manage the PCA product roadmap for India, GCC, and upcoming SEA markets.
- Drive portfolio planning - structure SKUs by pricing tiers, features, and market gaps.
- Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Own the product lifecycle from concept - development - certification - launch - post-launch review.
- Oversee new product development (NPD), phasing out EOL products, and tracking market innovations.
Quality & Compliance:
- Lead quality assurance processes, sample reviews, and approval cycles.
- Ensure compliance with certifications - BIS (India), G-Mark/SASO (GCC), and local SEA requirements.
Supplier & Sourcing Management
- Build and manage a network of local and international PCA manufacturers.
- Negotiate FOB/sourcing prices with factories; review BOMs and plan CM2 margins.
- Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Conduct post-launch performance reviews and recommend portfolio improvements.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support visibility and marketplace presence.
Experience & Skills Required
- 4-6 years total experience, with 3-5 years in Product Management/NPD for Personal Care Appliances.
- Proven experience in multi-market product launches (India mandatory).
- 3-4 years managing suppliers and quality control processes.
- Knowledge of BIS, G-Mark, SASO certifications.
- Strong costing and margin planning skills (BOM, FOB).
