The role will involve maintaining network infrastructure, diagnosing network issues, and ensuring optimal network performance and security. Main Responsibilities: FortiGate Firewalls Management: Configure, manage, and optimize FortiGate firewalls to ensure secure network operations. Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for FortiGate devices. Collaborate with the security team to ensure proper firewall policies are in place. Networking & Security Expertise: Demonstrate strong understanding of networking and security protocols, including TCP/IP, switching, routing, and VPN technologies. Utilize tools like FortiAnalyzer and network diagnostic utilities to monitor, troubleshoot, and analyze network traffic and security events. Network Troubleshooting & Optimization: Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and resolve common and complex network issues. Suggest and implement improvements to enhance network performance, capacity, and scalability. Manage network switching (VLANs, Trunks, Link Aggregation) to optimize network traffic flow. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed network design documents, including LLD (Low-Level Design), configuration documents, and statements of work. Update and maintain technical documents related to network infrastructure and configurations. Provide regular reports on network performance, incidents, and security events. Vendor Coordination & Support: Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting, maintenance, and support services. Ensure that all incidents, service requests, and change requests are tracked and reported using the helpdesk tool. Maintain up-to-date software licenses and asset management records. After-Hours & Weekend Support: Provided by General Responsibilities: Maintai Ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met, and escalate issues when necessary. Handle network performance, capacity planning, and network improvements. Assist in May Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Proven experience in network administration and technical support, with a focus on FortiGate firewalls. Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues. Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and wireless network management. Knowledge of firewall and security technologies to ensure network protection. Soft Skills: Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Resourceful and proactive problem-solving aptitude. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Experience & Education: Proven experience as a Network Administrator, Network Technician, or a similar role. Previous experience working with FortiGate firewalls and network management tools is required. Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, CCNA, CompTIA Network+) would be an advantage.
