Job Summary:
- The Project Head will be responsible for overall leadership, strategy, and execution of the Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant project.
- This includes managing the full project lifecycle from concept design, planning, construction, equipment installation, and commissioning to handover of the operational facility.
- The role requires visionary leadership, strong stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, and deep experience in managing large-scale industrial/semiconductor projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define project vision, objectives, and execution roadmap aligned with company goals.
- Lead strategic decision-making related to technology selection, capacity planning, and partner selection.
- Ensure alignment between business strategy and project execution.
Project Governance & Oversight:
- Establish governance mechanisms, project controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Resolve escalations and critical project challenges with proactive solutions.
Stakeholder & Partner Management:
- Represent the project in front of board members, government authorities, and strategic partners.
- Manage key relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, and global technology partners.
- Drive alignment across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Financial & Commercial Oversight:
- Develop and manage project budgets exceeding hundreds of crores.
- Oversee vendor negotiations, contract finalization, and cost control measures.
- Ensure maximum ROI and long-term sustainability of the project.
Team & Organizational Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing multi-disciplinary project team.
- Mentor project managers, engineers, and functional leads.
- Foster a performance-driven, accountable, and innovative culture.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial).
- Master's degree in Engineering/Management or PMP certification preferred.
Experience:
- 18-25 years of experience in large-scale industrial or semiconductor/solar manufacturing projects.
- Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end project execution from greenfield setup to plant commissioning.
- Strong exposure to cleanroom infrastructure, high-purity utilities, and advanced process equipment.
- Experience in handling large EPC contracts, international vendors, and multi-stakeholder projects.
