About the Role:


We’re on the lookout for a sharp, detail-oriented Data Analyst with expert-level Excel skills to join our team in Dubai. If you love diving into data, making sense of numbers, and turning them into meaningful insights, this role is for you. You’ll be helping different teams by analyzing and visualizing data to guide smart business decisions.


What You’ll Be Doing:


Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data to support key business decisions. You’ll build and maintain advanced Excel models and dashboards to give clear insights.


Data Management: Clean up, organize, and prep data to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.


Financial Modeling: Develop and manage financial models to help with budgeting, forecasting, and planning.


Advanced Excel Skills: Use functions like VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and Macros to make reporting more efficient.


Data Visualization: Turn complex data into easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and dashboards.


Process Improvement: Spot opportunities to make our data analysis workflows more efficient.


Collaboration: Work closely with different teams to understand their challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.


Automation: Streamline repetitive tasks with Excel VBA/Macros to boost efficiency in handling and reporting data.


Key Skills:


Advanced Excel Proficiency: Expertise in Excel functions like Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and data validation. For example, using Power Query to automate data extraction from multiple sources or INDEX-MATCH for complex lookups in large datasets.


Data Cleaning & Preparation: Ability to clean, organize, and prepare raw data for analysis. For instance, using Excel’s text-to-columns feature or Flash Fill to standardize messy data formats.


Financial Modeling: Experience building detailed financial models to forecast budgets and support business planning. For example, creating a model that simulates different financial scenarios for business growth planning.


Data Visualization: Strong skills in turning raw data into insightful, easy-to-understand visualizations. For instance, creating interactive dashboards using Excel to present sales performance trends over time.


Excel Automation (VBA/Macros): Proficiency in automating repetitive tasks through Excel VBA and Macros. For example, building a Macro to automate monthly financial report generation, saving time and reducing manual errors.


Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to tackle complex business problems using data-driven insights. For instance, using data analysis to identify inefficiencies in operational processes and suggesting improvements.


Attention to Detail: Ensuring data accuracy and integrity in every step of the analysis. For example, identifying and correcting data inconsistencies before presenting insights to stakeholders.


Collaboration & Communication: Comfortable working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and present findings. For example, working with marketing to analyze campaign performance and providing insights to optimize future campaigns.


Process Improvement: Ability to streamline workflows and reporting processes for better efficiency. For instance, restructuring an outdated Excel model into a more user-friendly and automated format.
