Job Title: Principal Software Engineer (GenAI Enablement)Experience: 5+ YearsLocation: HyderabadEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Principal Software Engineer – GenAI Enablement to champion the adoption, integration, and scaling of Generative AI practices across engineering teams. This role will focus on enabling engineers to leverage AI-driven tools, accelerating development workflows, and delivering high-quality outcomes through modern engineering practices. You will work closely with engineering leaders, solution architects, and product teams to evangelize GenAI capabilities, evaluate use cases, and guide execution of POCs.Key ResponsibilitiesGenAI Training and Enablement- Lead and deliver GenAI-focused training sessions, enablement programs, and hands-on workshops for engineering teams. - Build tailored learning paths for different engineering roles to accelerate GenAI readiness. - Create educational content, demos, playbooks, and best practices to support enterprise-wide enablement.Adoption of GenAI Tools & Accelerators- Drive adoption and best practices of GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and GenAI-enabled testing tools across engineering functions. - Collaborate with platform/DevOps teams to define standards, governance, and security guardrails for GenAI usage. - Evaluate, recommend, and scale emerging GenAI accelerators, frameworks, and plugins.Technical Guidance & Hands-On Support- Provide hands-on technical support and mentoring during the initial stages of GenAI-enabled development activities. - Partner with engineering teams to design, develop, and optimize GenAI-assisted workflows, coding practices, and automation. - Act as a technical SME for GenAI tooling, integration patterns, and development workflows.POC Identification & Execution- Work closely with engineering leads to identify, evaluate, and prioritize GenAI POCs aligned with business value and technical feasibility. - Lead discovery, prototyping, and validation of GenAI-driven solutions that automate coding, testing, analytics, or decision-making. - Document learnings, success metrics, and roadmaps to drive scaling.Software Engineering & Architecture Enablement- Apply deep engineering knowledge to design secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Java-Angular or NodeJS-Angular tech stacks. - Influence engineering standards, patterns, and architectural decisions that leverage GenAI capabilities. - Support continuous improvement of CI/CD, observability, DevSecOps, and test automation practices.Required Skills & Qualifications- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including design, architecture, and full SDLC ownership. - Strong understanding of modern engineering practices, preferably with Java + Angular or Node.js + Angular tech stacks. - Hands-on experience and proficiency with GenAI tools, LLMs, and AI-assisted development workflows. - Experience enabling engineers through training, coaching, documentation, and technical leadership. - Familiarity with development acceleration practices including: - Automated code generation - AI-enabled testing frameworks - Intelligent refactoring tools - Ability to evaluate GenAI feasibility, define POC plans, and partner with teams during execution. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including ability to present to technical and leadership audiences.Preferred / Good to Have- Experience with GitHub Copilot Enterprise, Azure OpenAI, or custom LLM integration. - Exposure to MLOps, prompt engineering, or fine-tuning workflows. - Prior experience enabling large engineering organizations through change management or capability building. - Understanding of security, governance, compliance, and risk related to AI usage in enterprise settings. - Experience in building scalable microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems.Behavioral Competencies- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching mindset. - Ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups with influence, not authority. - Passion for innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.What You’ll Achieve- Help transform engineering culture through GenAI-driven acceleration. - Define and scale enterprise-wide standards, best practices, and patterns. - Enable engineers to innovate faster while improving quality and productivity. - Contribute to strategic decision-making that shapes the future of engineering delivery.
