We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with a strong background in Java programming and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining our Guidewire applications to ensure they align with business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guidewire Development:
o Design, develop, and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter solutions based on business requirements.
o Customize and enhance Guidewire applications using GOSU, Guidewire Studio, and other relevant tools.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Guidewire applications, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Java Programming:
o Utilize Java skills to develop and integrate custom components within the Guidewire platform.
o Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
o Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Proactive Problem Solving:
o Anticipate potential issues and implement solutions before they escalate.
o Take initiative in identifying and addressing areas for improvement within the Guidewire system and related processes.
o Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
o Participate in project planning, estimation, and status meetings, providing technical input and updates.
o Document technical designs, configurations, and processes for future reference.
• Experience:
o Proven experience with Guidewire applications, particularly PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
o Strong Java programming skills with experience in developing complex applications.
o Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and optimize systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Guidewire Certification (e.g., PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
