Senior Data Engineer with Azure Experience

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with Azure Experience to lead and support Azure-based solutions that meet the business requirements of our clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and managing Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, Logic Apps, Web Services, networking, and security services. In addition, the candidate should possess expertise in managing SQL Server and Synapse dedicated pools and implementing cost optimization strategies on Azure.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Azure-based solutions, ensuring alignment with client business requirements.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, Logic Apps, Web Services, networking, and security services.
  • Provide expertise in managing SQL Server and Synapse dedicated pools.
  • Implement cost optimization strategies on Azure to ensure efficient resource utilization and budget management.
  • Oversee the Azure subscription, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the health of cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and secure database solutions on Azure.
  • Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of Azure services to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Azure updates, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve and innovate the organization's cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and enforce security measures to safeguard data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide proactive support for incident resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with existing project team members on project delivery for Life Sciences clients in the US, by using data related to patients, payer, physician, etc.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based solutions.
  • 2+ years of Life Sciences experience.
  • Expertise in Azure services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, Logic Apps, Web Services, networking, and security services.
  • Experience managing SQL Server Synapse dedicated pools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and best practices.
  • Experience implementing cost optimization strategies on Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
