About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

We are seeking a dynamic HR Consultant to join our team, specializing in guiding companies through the establishment of robust HR frameworks and processes. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of consultancy experience and hands-on HR expertise, demonstrating a track record in setting up HR departments from inception to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client organizations to understand their HR needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Establish and optimize HR systems, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Create a comprehensive vendor pool and manage vendor relationships to support various HR functions such as recruitment, training, and benefits administration.
  • Work closely with CHROs and senior management to identify strategic HR outsourcing opportunities and manage relationships with external service providers.
  • Provide expert guidance on HR strategy, organizational development, and change management.
  • Advise on compliance issues and liaise with legal and policy teams to ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders on HR processes and systems.
  • Serve as a problem-solving resource, resolving complex HR issues within specified timelines.
  • Utilize strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes in vendor contracts and service agreements.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and innovations to continually enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in HR consulting, with a proven track record in setting up HR departments and systems.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, including recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Experience in liaising with policy makers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving results within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
