Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing AWS infrastructure, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based environments. You will work closely with development teams, network engineers, and security teams to ensure that all systems meet business requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS Infrastructure Management:
  • Design, configure, and maintain AWS environments (EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in AWS.
  • Automate cloud provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor system performance and utilization using AWS CloudWatch, logging tools, and other monitoring platforms.
  • Identify and troubleshoot AWS environment issues, ensuring uptime and performance optimization.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Implement AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles and policies to ensure a secure environment.
  • Perform regular audits of systems and recommend security improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations like GDPR, SOC2, etc.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery:
  • Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for AWS workloads.
  • Maintain data redundancy, availability, and recovery procedures using AWS tools like S3, Glacier, and Backup.
  • Cost Optimization:
  • Monitor and optimize AWS resource costs by adjusting instance types, reserved instances, and spot instances.
  • Provide recommendations for reducing AWS spend while maintaining performance.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security teams, to support application deployment, automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills:

  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.).
  • Expertise in AWS networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, NACLs, etc.).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Strong understanding of AWS security practices (IAM, KMS, encryption).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Good understanding of cloud cost management and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, or Datadog.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Hands-on experience with logging tools such as ELK Stack, CloudTrail, or Splunk.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
