Role - Content Head


Job Description:

As the Head of Content, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the content strategy and driving the execution of our brand and marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for leading the content team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality content across various platforms. Your leadership will drive the development of engaging content to enhance our brand presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the content team comprising creative writers, editors, and content strategists to develop content for organic and brand channels across multiple platforms.
  • Plan, build, and execute compelling content for both online and offline channels to engage our target audience effectively.
  • Take responsibility for the content vision and ensure the highest standard of output across team members reporting to you.
  • Collaborate closely with the digital marketing team to define and manage strategic goals and deliverables for various platforms.
  • Translate abstract business concepts into refined, elegant content solutions.
  • Plan and allocate resources for priority projects, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, customer-centric, and consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice.
  • Plan, own, and manage the content calendar for all organic channel assets, including blog, Quora, GMB, Pinterest, and WebPush.
  • Maintain an updated and accurate database of all content-related details and report the same to management at regular intervals.
  • Guide the content team in efficiently developing content assets from concept through approval, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of current trends in content formats and types.
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with the content team, fostering innovative and actionable content initiatives.

Desired Profile:

  • Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, English Literature, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience working with consumer brands as a team lead and in digital marketing.
  • Excellent English writing, grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong supervisory, people management, and leadership skills to lead, inspire, hire, develop, and oversee the content team.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and navigate a startup environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a natural problem solver with an eye for detail.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to ideate new ways of storytelling.
  • Strong analytical skills for content planning and analyzing the performance of initiatives.
  • Ability to engage in constructive content critiques and be receptive to feedback.
  • Good understanding of content platforms such as Pinterest, GMB, Quora, and marketing automation tools.
  • Knowledge of the home interior industry is preferred but not mandatory.
