Role Description:
Experience - 8 to 10 years
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager for Observability and Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management within technical and operations-focused environments, with expertise in observability tools, ITSM processes, and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and customer success, to deliver high-impact solutions that enhance system visibility, optimize incident response, and drive overall platform reliability and performance. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable roadmaps that align with our product vision and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Roadmap:
- Strategic Alignment: Define and align with the overarching product vision and strategy for observability and operations tools.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Roadmap Development: Develop and prioritize product roadmaps to address customer needs and business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with technical stack leaders and architecture leads to ensure end-to-end product delivery and adoption.
- Product Development and Lifecycle Management:
- Requirement Definition: Collaborate with engineering teams to define clear product requirements and specifications for OnePOC and Observability tools.
- Feature Development and Deployment: Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of new features and enhancements.
- Operational Integration: Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new solutions and minimize disruptions.
- End-of-Life Management: Plan and execute the decommissioning or sunsetting of legacy tools, ensuring a smooth transition to new solutions.
- Product Management:
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance metrics to identify potential issues and bottlenecks.
- Incident Analysis: Analyze incident reports and customer feedback to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
- Incident Response Optimization: Drive initiatives to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) to minimize service disruptions.
- Process Automation: Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to automate routine tasks and streamline workflows, improving efficiency and reducing human error.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, operations, customer success, and security teams.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience, over 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical or operations role.
- Strong understanding of observability tools and techniques (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, SNOW, Solarwinds).
- Experience with ITSM process – incident, problem management and response processes.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
