JOB DESCRIPTION OF ENGINEERING MANAGER


We are seeking a talented and motivated Engineering Manager to join our dynamic engineering team. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow our engineering team and help our customers build better connections by building the next generation of real time communication products You will lead collaboration with the Product, Customer Support and Happiness teams while expanding your team's capabilities by attracting, mentoring, and retaining top engineering talent. You will influence architecture design and implementation with careful consideration of low latency, security, scalability, reliability and maximum availability of a cloud-based product. Your leadership will ensure that the engineering systems are robust and efficient, aligning with Acefone’ s commitment to excellence and innovation. You will work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall success of our software development initiatives.


Position Name : Engineering Manager Cloud Telephony

Years of Experience : 10+ Years


Key Functional Responsibilities:


  • Leadership in managing technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Java, or a comparable programming language - Good to have
  • Experience in leading the development and operational maintenance of highly scalable, distributed systems, microservices, relational databases like MySQL, as well as in building sophisticated RESTful web services.
  • Proven track record in the design, development, and support of enterprise-level, mission
  • critical systems that directly affect users.
  • Outstanding cross-functional collaboration skills, possessing a proven track record of aligning team efforts towards shared objectives and promoting team cohesion.
  • Effective conflict management skills, demonstrating the ability to navigate and resolve disputes thoughtfully and constructively.
  • In-depth familiarity with engineering procedures and best practices across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, exhibiting confidence in documenting and presenting design processes and decisions. Actively engages in design reviews.
  • A history of mentoring and growing engineers to success.
  • Understanding of frameworks like Next.js, Nest.js, PHP, Laravel.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of SAST (eg SonarQube, Snyk etc), DAST (eg Checkmarks etc) is good to have.
  • Any SQL/NoSQL database champion. Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
