This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or ARP4761, and in shaping the safety architecture of next-generation systems.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including system architects, software developers, hardware engineers, and validation specialists to define safety goals, derive functional safety requirements, and develop robust safety concepts across the product lifecycle.Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in automotive or industrial domains. - Strong understanding of ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or equivalent safety standards - Experience with HARA, FMEA, FTA, and safety lifecycle methods and processes. - Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion) and Safety Analysis tools (e.g Isograph, Medini). - Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications- Certified Functional Safety Engineer (e.g., TÜV SÜD, SGS-TÜV) - Experience with safety-critical embedded systems and control software (up to ASIL D). - Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434) - Exposure to ADAS, autonomous systems, or electrified powertrainsKnowledge of safety case development and tool qualification
