About the job:

- Kotak Alternate Assets has been leading the way in helping its investors benchmark their carbon footprint and build clear strategies to do more sustainable investments. ESG team has to ensure both stakeholder and shareholder value creation are at the core of those sustainability strategies.

- We are seeking an experienced Analyst/Associate for the Infrastructure strategy. This role involves understanding the ESG norms, evaluating each potential investment with regard to ESG compliances, preparing pre investment reports for the investors and the investment committee, getting the due diligence done for ESG aspects and monitoring the investment with periodic reporting to the investors over the life of the investment to achieve sustainable growth and compliance with ESG standards.

Job responsibilities:

- Develop and implement ESG and Net Zero strategies for clients across different industries, setting and operationalizing their ESG strategies, defining KPIs and frameworks for measuring and monitoring their impacts

- Manage and comply with the investors requirement on achieving the ESG goals for each investment

- Stay aware of global ESG trends, regulations, and best practices

- Conduct ESG policy analyses and develop roadmaps and action plans to help improve sustainability practices of the clients

- Conduct ESG maturity assessments and due diligence for businesses, portfolios, and projects

- Evaluate options for including ESG mitigation and adaptation considerations in investment projects

- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored ESG solutions.

- Collaborate with other departments to integrate ESG principles into broader consulting services.

- Supporting business developments to further expand our ESG-related services

- Contribute to thought leadership and business development in the ESG Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications in sustainability or ESG would be a plus

- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in ESG consulting or a related field, with proven track record in project management and team leadership within environmental, sustainable development, engineering field, energy and power and/or other industry sectors with the focus on ESG/Climate/Environmental impact/GHG emissions/Operational management experience/ Supply chain transformation experience to reduce Scope 3 emissions

- Of which min. 2 years of experience with a strategy, operational efficiency, including in experience in relevant ESG role, would be a big plus

- Implementing a new methodology and / or technology across an organization, driving sustainable change, developing sustainability or operational excellence solutions or supporting business programs to achieve ESG aims (incl. emissions) would be a plus

- In-depth understanding of global trends, agendas, ESG frameworks, standards, and regulatory environments

- Sharp analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking skills

- Coaching and developing people, supporting them to attain higher levels of performance

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Willing to travel to project sites and coordinate with the potential investment company teams

Local candidates preferred. ESG experience is a must.
