Our growing team of scientists, technology engineers, and project managers is committed to delivering world-class solutions - on time, at the right price, and with unmatched quality.We are founded by IIT & IIM alumni and backed by marquee VCs in India.Read more here. : https://www.atomgrid.in/Position: Assistant Manager – Tech Transfer (Surfactants)Location: Ankleshwar, GujaratJob OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Assistant Manager – Tech Transfer (Surfactants) to coordinate and lead the transfer of surfactant and emulsifier processes from R&D to pilot and full-scale manufacturing.The role involves managing the entire tech transfer lifecycle from documentation and process mapping to plant trials and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is technically strong, organized, and enjoys working closely with both lab and plant teams to ensure seamless scaling of new technologies.Key RequirementsLead and coordinate the transfer of new surfactant products and processes from lab/pilot to commercial scale.Prepare process documentation, equipment mapping, PFDs/P&IDs, and SOPs for technology transfer.Participate in process risk assessments, batch reviews, and troubleshooting of new product launches.Support manufacturing and operations during initial production runs — resolve technical issues and optimize performance.Serve as the technical liaison between R&D, manufacturing, QA/QC, and external vendors.Ensure all transfer activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Monitor project progress, document process changes, and track deviations.Identify and engage with new manufacturing partners when required for contract manufacturing or process validation.Drive initiatives to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and process robustness.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in surfactant or specialty chemical technology transfer, scale-up, or process engineeringStrong working knowledge of surfactant processes, troubleshooting, and plant operations.Experience preparing and maintaining detailed technical documentation.Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with safety standards, GMP/regulatory compliance, and plant trial management.Why Join Us?Be part of a fast-growing, innovation-driven company shaping the future of specialty chemicals.Get hands-on experience in scaling cutting-edge processes from R&D to commercial scale.Work alongside a passionate team of scientists and engineers focused on solving real-world problems.Join an environment that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
