Senior Sap Sales Distribution Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Consultant with dual expertise in Materials Management (MM) and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP MM and SD solutions that align with business goals and ensure seamless integration across procurement and sales processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP MM and SD module configurations, enhancements, and support initiatives.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Analyse and map business processes to SAP best practices in MM and SD.
• Configure and maintain core MM functionalities: Purchase Requisition, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipt, Inventory Management, Vendor Evaluation.
• Configure and maintain SD functionalities: Sales Orders, Deliveries, Billing, Pricing, Credit Management, Returns, and Intercompany Sales.
• Handle master data (Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master).
• Design integration scenarios between MM, SD, FI/CO, and PP modules.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Provide end-user training and create documentation.
• Support data migration activities and contribute to S/4HANA upgrade projects.
• Coordinate with ABAP developers for custom developments and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, QM, FI/CO, WM) for seamless process integration.
• Support production planning processes, including Make-to-Stock (MTS), Make-to-Order (MTO), Repetitive Manufacturing, and KANBAN.
• Design and execute test scenarios, training materials, and end-user documentation.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and S/4HANA migration projects.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Ensuring required customisation for the business needs
• Coordination & end-user training for SAP modules whenever required.
• Ensuring configuration of changes in the business scenario and mapping in SAP, as & when required
• Preparation of end-user manuals
• Resolving day-to-day issues/errors
• Responsible for proper testing in Development and Quality clients
• Ensuring proper Master data maintenance
• Support for the Project System (PS) module.
• Support for other modules if required.
• Asset Management (Functional Locations & Equipment) and Sequence.
• Master data creation for the Material master and Vendor master at the group level
• New Tax Code creation as per changes in taxation
• Competent with 194Q, Configuration & process
• Competent with P2P cycle, new configuration & process
• Expertise in MM processes & configuration
• Z developments in the MM process
• Monthly period opening (MM & FICO)
• Knowledge about LSMW
• Inter-module integration
• Competent with Fiori Applications
• Maintaining all proper documents related to the new project
• Plans effectively, sets priorities, and manages several complex projects simultaneously while working to meet deadlines
• Conducting training for end users as & when required
• Taking up new development & providing solution on the same
• Generation of stock reports for all plants
• Learn and implement new scenarios for purchase, accounts, costing, and finance
• Providing solutions to end users for day-to-day issues
• Carrying out testing for the solution provided by consultants on the DEV & QAS server
• Coordination with end users & SAP consultants
• Supporting other module issues in the absence of the concerned module leads

Requirements:

• Graduate Engineer (Computer/IT) / MCA / MSc Computer
• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP MM & SD (ECC or S/4HANA)
• ITIL or PMP certification is a plus
• Willing to travel and has a flexible approach to work
• Ready to work at any location of the organisation within the shortest possible time
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or related discipline.
• 6–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM and SD modules.
• At least 2 full-cycle end-to-end SAP implementations in MM and SD.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and order-to-cash (O2C) business processes.
• Experience with IDocs, pricing procedures, output determination, and batch management.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.
• Solid integration experience with SAP FI, PP, and WM modules.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
