Job DescriptionRole Name: VMware Admin L1 & L2Experience: 2-4 & 4-8 Years Location: Navi Mumbai, GhansoliSkills: VMware Administrator, Virtualization, VCenter, ESXIShift time/Working Days: Rotational, 5 days Role OverviewThe Cloud L2 Analyst is a subject matter expert responsible for complex troubleshooting, problem resolution, performance optimization, and project execution within the VMware environment, acting as a technical escalation point.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as an escalation point for Level 1 incidents, performing in-depth root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting in the VMware environment.Manage and optimize the performance and capacity planning for vSphere 5.X, 6.0/6.5.Design and execute complex operations, including advanced vMotion activities and comprehensive P2V/V2V projects.Proactively monitor, maintain, and ensure the integrity and stability of vCenter, ESXi, and ESX hosts, including configuration management for High Availability (HA).Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell/PowerCLI) to streamline routine operational tasks.Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices and SOPs.Technical Skills & QualificationsMinimum 4+ years of total experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years of dedicated experience as a VM Administrator.Deep, demonstrable expertise in administering and optimizing vSphere 5.X, 6.0/6.5 environments.Mastery of core virtualization concepts: vCenter, ESXi, ESX, vMotion, HA, P2V, V2V, Templates, & Snapshots.Proven ability to manage critical incident resolution and execute complex changes with minimal supervision.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
