Our team, the Global Supply Engineering & Sustainment Team, is passionate about using software and data to improve manufacturing processes. We partner with other Pfizer teams focused on: Manufacturing throughput efficiency and increased manufacturing yieldReduction of end-to-end cycle time and increase of percent release attainmentIncreased quality control lab throughput and more timely closure of quality assurance investigationsIncreased manufacturing yield of vaccinesMore cost-effective network planning decisions and lowered inventory costsIn the Associate, Site Reliability Engineer role, you will work with other SREs, Product Owners, Software Engineers, Data Engineers and other key people to ensure our software is reliable and performant. You will own key aspects of the SDLC and Software Release process. You will work to architect systems and processes in a cost effective, performant, and safemanner.Youwill support our solutions by focusing on automation and continuous improvement. Most of all, you will use your passion for automation, quality, and curiosity to dive into any reliability or performanceproblem.Youwill figure out the cause of the problem and propose solutions to resolve it.Your drive for excellence will help us achieve new levels of reliability in our software. ROLERESPONSIBILITIESThe Associate, Site Reliability Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure quality software and infrastructure is delivered on time within a fast-paced agile environmentSupport overall SRE strategy, ensuring performance, scalability and reliability of systemsBuild cost-effective, performant and secure systems and workflows in alignment with business needsMaintain and optimize Cloud infrastructure performance and costAutomate manual and repetitive processes to enhance operational efficiencyEnable cloud capabilities for SDLCExtend and optimize our CI/CD processCreate and maintain monitoring solutions for our servicesPartner with cross-functional teams to design, develop and enhance new and existing applicationsBuild and maintain release & deployment knowledge databaseContinuously optimize procedures and processes to reduce deployments time and increase reliabilityBASIC QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum 1 year of experience in Technology Operations, Software Development, or similar fieldExperience working with all of the following platforms and tools: Kubernetes / EKSAWS EC2, EKS, EBS, EFS, S3, RDS, MSK or equivalents on other Cloud ProvidersGitHub Actions or similar Cloud based CI toolingExperience working with at least 3 of the following tools: TerraformDockerFluxCD/ArgoCD or Similar GitOps based Kubernetes CD toolAnsiblePrometheus / GrafanaELK/ECK stackDynatraceGood knowledge in Bash, plus at least one other modern programing language such as Java, JavaScript, C#, PythonOperational experience with at least one SQL and one NoSQL Database platform such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, DocumentDB, Neo4jGood understanding of microservices architecture and cloud computingExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)Proactive approach and goal-oriented mindset, research, problem solving and analytical skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience supporting the development of complex software products including the deployment of multiple versions / releases of a large productExperience working in teams to address software defect analysis, troubleshooting and resolutionPharmaceutical ExperienceCertified Kubernetes Administrator certificationAWS Certified Solutions Architect certificationExperience working with JIRA, ConfluencePractical knowledge of Agile (Scrum), SAFe (Scalable Agile Framework)Work LocationAssignment: HybridWork Location Assignment: HybridPfizer is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable equal employment opportunity legislation in each jurisdiction in which it operates.Information & Business Tech
