Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedPHP Developerto join our backend development team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing server-side logic, maintaining and optimising web applications, and integrating front-end elements built by your co-workers. A deep understanding of cyber security practices and secure coding principles is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities Develop, record, and maintain robust PHP applications and backed services. Work closely with front-end developers and UI/UX designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, DevOps, QA) to define, design, and ship new features. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Write clean, well-designed code following best practices and coding standards. Build reusable PHP modules and libraries for future use. Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality. Implement and adhere to cyber security best practices, including input validation, authentication, and access control.Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in PHP development. Strong knowledge of object-oriented PHP and MVC frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter). Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery). Familiarity with version control systems (Git). Knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL and database design principles. Understanding of RESTful API development and integration. Awareness of common web security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques. Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development process. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
