Assistant Manager - Corporate Affairs

Location - New Delhi

6 days working on Alternate Saturdays

Responsibilities - (List the main job duties and what the role will entail.)

Policy tracking & advocacy:

  • Monitor and analyze policy developments, regulatory frameworks, and legislative changes related to the renewable energy sector.
  • Engage with government bodies, industry associations, and policy think tanks to advocate for favorable policies.
  • Prepare policy briefs, position papers, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

Stakeholder engagement & networking:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key government ministries and agencies, including:
  • Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)
  • Ministry of Power (MoP)
  • Ministry of Commerce and Industry
  • Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)
  • Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI)
  • Related regulatory agencies such as BIS, NISE, and State Government Agencies
  • Engaging with industry associations such as AISIA, FICCI, CII etc ensuring active participation and advocacy.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Factory, Finance, R&D, Compliance, Legal, and Business Development teams) to align policy initiatives with business objectives.

Events & project support:

  • Assist in planning and executing government and industry-led events, roundtables, and conferences.
  • Manage and support company's participation in policy discussions, trade delegations, and industry networking forums.
  • Coordinate special projects related to policy, compliance, and corporate governance.

Communications & reporting:

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents for senior management.
  • Develop strategic communication material, including press releases, newsletters, and policy updates.
  • Maintain documentation of regulatory submissions, meeting minutes, and engagement records.

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualification: Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in corporate affairs, government relations, policy advocacy, or industry engagement, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Indian policy and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication including presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and present complex policy matters effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong networking abilities and willingness to travel as required.
