Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to build user-centric applications.
  • Ensure that applications are fully responsive, providing an optimal user experience across all devices.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
  • Design and maintain databases using MongoDB, ensuring data consistency, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring that all code adheres to best practices and industry standards.
  • Write unit tests, perform thorough testing of applications, and debug and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing features.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ features.
  • 5+ years of experience of MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN Stack)
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React.js.
  • Experience in building RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including data modeling, indexing, and query optimisation.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
  • Understanding of user interface design principles and tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
  • Knowledge of web security best practices.
