Join our team as a Video Translator and Annotator We're seeking Urdu speakers with a keen eye for detail and a passion for social media.

What you will do:

  • Watch videos in your native language(Urdu), translate them into English, and insert your comments/annotations in your translation to flag any inappropriate content present in the video.
  • Detailed workflow guidelines will be provided by the PM team.

Who we need:

  • Native speakers or the source language (Urdu, in your case).
  • Regular users of social media, in particular online video platforms.
  • Fluent level of English is required

Timeline and Availability:

  • The work will run on very tight turn-around-times, with maximum 6 hours to deliver. We don't have heads-up, so very high reactivity from translators is needed in order to meet deadlines. If your schedule is flexible and allows you to jump on this work with no heads-up, this project is for you
  • Length of videos is variable, but long videos will be split among several linguists, so each hand-off is expected to take you in average between 6 and 18 hours, depending on the video length.
  • Weekend work may be needed. If you're available to work during weekends, please let us know.
  • No volumes are guaranteed. This work is very irregular, we may no receive any videos for your language in days or weeks, and then receive larger volumes in other periods.

Training and Test:

  • To ensure you are fully familiar with instructions and are ready to successfully perform this work, participating partners are asked to take a "suitability test". For this, our project team will send you a short approximately 3-5 minute video and instructions for you to complete as part of a training and test to be accepted on this program. Partners successfully completing this test will be compensated for it with a flat rate of $20/hour.
