Job Summary :

The purpose of this role is to ensure the developed software meets the client requirements and the business' quality standards within the project release cycle and established processes. To lead technical initiatives to optimize the test approach and tools.

Job Responsibilities :

- Develops and executes accurate test cases as per requirements, analyses results and raises issues within schedule

- Actively participates in test planning by identifying testing requirements, scope and estimates

- Ensures optimal test coverage comprising of positive, negative and exception scenarios

- Logs defects with right priority, tracking them to closure and understanding the root cause for an issue

- Provides quality assurance estimates for project planning purposes

- Engages in both functional and non-functional testing, Participates in software design discussions, reviews and test strategy sessions

- Improves domain knowledge and understanding of testing process, delivery methodology, tools, etc

- Mentors junior team members on applications and job functions

- Highlights discrepancies in requirements and associated documentation

- Creates and maintains - A and project documentation

- Participates in communication with other departments to coordinate test and implementation activities

- Leads the process and test efficiency improvement initiatives

- Analyses problems reported in production application, identifies root causes and communicates results with appropriate stakeholders towards resolution

Job Requirements :

Must Have :

- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience

- Managing team of test engineers

- Defining test strategy, establishing metrics, reporting

- Developing test plans, implementing test process, recording results

- Test automation, regression, integration, system testing

- Identifies potential process improvement areas, suggests options and recommends approaches

- Participates in architecture and RADs reviews for new projects

- Manages the creation, deployment and strategic use of department test environments

- Strong communication skills

- Should be able to provide reports to senior stakeholders

- Should be able to manage expectations of Product/Business teams in terms of prioritizing quality, aligning to the strategic vision.

Good to have :

- Experience in Azure cloud.

- Knowledge of cloud preferably Azure

- Automation tools such as selenium, playwright, mocha

- Tools such as JIRA, Git
