Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage retail store fitout projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the fitout process, with hands-on experience in interior design, electrical systems, civil work, HVAC (air conditioning), and other critical departments. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for retail store fitouts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and meeting key milestones.
  • Coordination and Supervision: Collaborate with design teams, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders across departments including interiors, electrical, civil, HVAC, and others to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work carried out on-site meets the highest quality standards, adhering to safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget. Identify areas for cost savings without compromising on quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of site managers, supervisors, and sub-contractors to ensure that project deliverables are met.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and risks during the project and implement effective solutions to prevent delays or increased costs.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, including updates on timelines, budgets, and any issues or risks.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience managing retail store fitouts, with extensive knowledge in interiors, electrical systems, civil works, HVAC, and other related fields.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, design principles, electrical installations, HVAC systems, and civil work standards.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion, while ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with various stakeholders such as designers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information to different stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to foresee potential challenges and implement solutions proactively.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of retail environments and customer expectations.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in vendor management.
