Associate - M&A Advisory

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented M&A Advisory Associate with 2-3 years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions or Investment Banking. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent financial modelling skills, and experience supporting end-to-end M&A transactions. As an associate, you will be responsible for assisting senior team members in the evaluation and execution of M&A deals, including conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and managing key aspects of deal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of pitch materials, client presentations, and other key documents for transaction proposals.
- Conduct thorough market and industry research to assess competitive landscapes and emerging trends that may influence M&A opportunities.
- Support the team in identifying and executing potential merger, acquisition, divestiture, and joint venture opportunities.
- Prepare and refine financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transaction analysis to assess potential deals.
- Conduct detailed industry, market, and financial research to support company valuations and deal decision-making.
- Assist in structuring transactions, including analysing potential synergies, risks, and returns.
- Help maintain and develop client relationships by providing insights and updates on ongoing M&A activities and potential opportunities.
- Ensure that all aspects of M&A deals are in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- MBA in finance is a must, additional CA, CFA degree is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in M&A advisory or Investment Banking.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, with hands-on experience in Excel and relevant financial software like Bloomberg.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and make informed recommendations.
