Position Overview: We are seeking a visionary and experienced academic dean for our law department. This senior leadership role is ideal for a dynamic professional passionate about legal education and committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and growth. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:Provide vision and guidance to the Law Department, promoting academic integrity and growth. Curriculum Development:Oversee the development of curricula that align with current legal standards and industry needs. Faculty Development:Recruit, train, and mentor faculty members, fostering a team dedicated to academic and professional excellence. Student Success:Champion mentorship programs that encourage critical thinking, research, and hands-on learning experiences. Compliance & Standards:Ensure adherence to university policies, UGC norms, and best practices in legal education. Industry Engagement:Build relationships with legal professionals and organizations to enhance internship and career opportunities for students. Representation:Act as the spokesperson for the Law Department, promoting its achievements and advocating for resources. Qualifications: Education:Advanced degree in law (LLM, Ph.D. preferred). Experience:Minimum of 10 years in academia, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a law department or similar setting. Skills and attributes: Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire students, faculty, and staff. Expertise in legal education, academic program management, and regulatory compliance. Strong communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
