What does this role hold for you...??

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Security Automation and Threat Hunting Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security automation, threat detection, and red teaming, with the ability to develop and implement advanced security solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Design, develop, and maintain security automation scripts and tools to enhance our threat detection and response capabilities.

2. Conduct regular threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities in our systems.

3. Participate in and lead red team exercises to assess and improve our organization's security posture.

4. Develop and implement correlation logic using various security tools such as DLP, WAF, and SIEM to improve threat detection accuracy.

5. Analyze security logs, alerts, and data from multiple sources to identify potential threats and anomalies.

6. Collaborate with other security teams to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies.

7. Stay up-to-date with the latest threat landscapes, attack vectors, and security technologies.

Required Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

2. 3-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security automation and threat hunting.

3. Proven experience in red teaming and penetration testing.

4. Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

5. Experience with security tools including but not limited to :

- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions

- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)

- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems

- Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)

6. Familiarity with building correlation logic and developing custom detection rules.

7. Knowledge of common attack techniques and the ability to emulate them safely in a controlled environment.

8. Experience with cloud security concepts and technologies (AWS or GCP).

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Relevant security certifications such as OSCP, GCIA, GCIH, or equivalent.
