We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Twenty20 Systems. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that empower our organization to make data-driven decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement data solutions, and ensure data accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop efficient and scalable data pipelines to facilitate data ingestion, transformation, and storage
  • Collaborate with data architect and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement effective data solutions
  • Implement data engineering best practices and standards to ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of our data pipelines
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data to end-users
  • Build robust data workflows and automation processes to streamline data processing and analysis
  • Implement data quality and data governance processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of data
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues and bottlenecks, contributing to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers, helping them enhance their technical skills and grow their careers
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field of data engineering, bringing new ideas and solutions to the team

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and data-intensive environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
  • Expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow or Luigi
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
