Our visions and mission focus on developing and transferring agriculture innovation, technology and knowledge to customers and farmers as our partner through the professional team towards the goal of higher yield, better quality and agriculture sustainability.Job Title: Agricultural Research & Development Station ManagerThis position requires selected candidate to relocate to Thailand.Job Summary:To provide leadership and management oversite of Agricultural Research & Development Station, ThailandJob Responsibilities:- Customer- Promote the Station as a Center of Excellence in Thailand. Collaborate with UPL country and regional teams to perform best practices, improve efficiencies and deliver best outcomes. - Ensure that all activities at the site are compliant with corporate rules and that a safe working environment is maintained and all necessary EHS rules are established and followed.- Process/ Operations- Accountable for the effective execution and coordination of all research activities at the Station. Ensuring that high quality trials are implemented, maintained, assessed and the resulting data reported to stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner. - Establish and maintain, at the Station, a seed bank, plant pathogens and/or insect colonies as required to execute projects successfully. - Search for and implement innovative technologies and ensure that state of the art research is implemented at the Station. - Ensure that technical know-how on products and technologies is maintained internally and effectively transferred to concerned departments. - Take all measures needed in obtaining and/or maintain EOR/GEP accreditation for the Station. - Ensure safe and compliant use and storage of all chemical products by maintaining a zero tolerance for any contaminations at and around the site. - Providing the right contacts and assisting UPL in the application for and in the management of obtaining the maximum R&D tax credits for the Station. - Take all measures needed to maintain HSE (Health Security Environment) for workers and Station.- Financial- Cost effectively manages the day-to-day operation of the Station, providing recommendations for the purchase of needed equipment and assisting in the hiring of needed professional researchers and field operation team members- Team management- Effectively manage the day-to-day activities of employees, develop and train the staff by active transfer of expertise and know-how and ensuring that an excellent work environment is maintained.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- At least 7-10 years’ experience in Product development role with 3-5 years of experience in handling the research station or identical or comparable role - M.Sc./Ph.D. Agriculture with specialization in Agricultural sciences - Agronomist or similar - BASIS Certificate in Plant Protection, or equivalent. - NPTC Certificate in Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (City & Guilds, 021649), or equivalent. - English (CEFR B2, equivalent or higher) - Use and application of ARM software packages, including at least ARM and ARM ST. - Excellent organization and computer skills (MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Location:Bangkok or Kancha Buri, ThailandCandidates from India who are willing to relocate and work in Thailand is preferred.KEY COMPETENCIES:- RESULTS ORIENTATION: Strong capability in focusing on tasks and results to achieving goals, solving problems, maintaining productivity, and making fast decisions by using a critical thinking approach. - ORGANIZATION/PROJECT MANGEMENT - Plan and schedule work according to changing priorities; designs and maintains effective systems and processes for managing work. - CULTIVATES INNOVATION - Thinks creatively and implements solutions for everyday problems; Strives to continually improve own processes and areas of business; Puts forward proposals and develops strategic implementation plans to introduce new and improved ways of operating. - RESOURCEFULNESS – Identifying, Securing & Deploying resources effectively & efficiently (People, funds, infrastructure) to accomplish a goal
