Job Summary   

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong DevOps background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in backend development, particularly in Node.js and TypeScript, as well as deep knowledge of AWS services, Terraform, cloud infrastructure, and microservices architecture. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, implementing cloud-based infrastructure, and ensuring system reliability and performance. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, implementing best practices in clean, efficient, and testable code. 
  • Architect and manage scalable, secure, and high-availability microservices. 
  • Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. 
  • Manage and optimize AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway to support applications and ensure cost-effectiveness. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers, to ensure alignment on project goals and deadlines. 
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and reliability, implementing automated testing and infrastructure monitoring as needed. 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of experience in backend engineering and DevOps. 
  • Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript. 
  • Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design. 
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) and experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure. 
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC). 
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, with a focus on GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar. 
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • BTech in Computer Science 
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch. 
  • Experience with database management (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB). 
  • Knowledge of networking and security best practices within cloud environments.
