The duties and responsibilities of IQAC are as follows:Development of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution and carry out the gap analysis for MNRU.Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process carrying out periodic check of course outcome attainment and action taken from each faculty and its mapping on to POs, PEOs.Monitor the action taken by departments on feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality.Development of Quality Culture in the institution.Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) and submit to NAAC.Key responsibilitiesStrategic planning: Ensure clarity and focus in institutional functioning to enhance quality and internalize a quality culture.Operational support: Help ensure the timely and efficient performance of academic, administrative, and financial tasks.Curriculum and research: Advise on and enhance the relevance, quality, and equity of academic and research programs.Teaching and learning: Promote modern teaching and learning methods to create a learner-centric environment.Evaluation: Ensure credible, transparent, and secure evaluation systems.Infrastructure and support: Advise on the adequacy and maintenance of support structures and services.Stakeholder feedback: Collect and analyze feedback from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related processes.Workshops and dissemination: Organize workshops and seminars on quality-related themes and disseminate information on quality parameters.Documentation: Document programs and activities that lead to quality improvement.Coordination: Act as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities and disseminating best practices.Audits: Conduct periodic academic and administrative audits and follow up on their outcomes.Reporting: Prepare the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for submission to accrediting bodies like NAAC. Required qualifications:Education: A postgraduate degree in any discipline is the minimum requirement. A Ph.D. is often a desirable qualification, particularly for senior rolesExperience: A minimum of 3 years of work experience is usually needed, though this can vary by role and seniority.Prior experience in quality assurance, documentation, or academic administration within a university setting is highly beneficialExpertise: Knowledge of quality standards, accreditation processes (like NAAC), and experience in data analysis and reporting can be a significant advantageSkills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating activities and reporting on quality assurance progress.
