Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Content Writer and Social Media Coordinator to join our small, dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the downstream production of our podcast, transform content into high-value deliverables, and handle social media management. This role focuses on 70% content creation and 30% social media coordination, with a preference for candidates who have a broader set of skills, including minor design and video editing capabilities.


You will be responsible for ensuring our podcast content reaches the right audience through engaging blog posts, updates, newsletters, and more. Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Repurposing

  • Write and edit compelling posts, blog articles, and newsletters based on podcast episodes.
  • Repurpose podcast content into short-form posts, newsletters, and audience-specific formats.
  • Develop scripts for short promotional videos.

Podcast Production Management

  • Collaborate with the video editor to finalise podcast episodes.
  • Manage all downstream activities, including:
  • Creating blog content from interviews.
  • Developing and scheduling social media posts.
  • Crafting updates tailored for various profiles and pages.
  • Preparing newsletters summarising podcast highlights.

Social Media Management

  • Take ownership of channel management, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and driving audience growth.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand tone and messaging.
  • Engage with the audience through comments, messages, and discussions.

Design and Video (Minor Tasks)

  • Support minor video editing or design tasks as needed to enhance content presentation.
  • Work with designers to create visuals for blogs, social posts, and other content.

Content Strategy & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for podcasts, blogs, and social media.
  • Analyse the performance of content across platforms and suggest improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in content writing and social media management, with a strong focus on .
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage the full content lifecycle, from podcast production to final distribution.
  • Familiarity with minor design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar).
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of as a professional platform, including best practices for content and audience engagement.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a small team or startup environment.
  • A creative approach to storytelling and content presentation.
  • Broad knowledge of social media trends and how to repurpose content effectively.
