DIRECTOR - DIRECT TAX

The selected candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships for Direct Tax services (Domestic & International Clients) from diverse industries.

Indicative CTC :

Amongst best in Industry, commensurate with skill set, experience and linked to meritocracy. Attractive varibale pay including performance linked incentives and BD based bonus on 'Bring and Take' model as per establised firm's reward policy for fee generated on new/additional engagements/mandates.

This position offers quick growth opportunities including a fast track trajectory to a Partner role.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA's) :

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building with potential clients.

- Meeting the clients and presenting the service offering; closing professional mandates by developing and negotiating the contracts.

- Interacting with Senior Management of Clients groups - UHNI & with large Corporates from diverse industries for successful completion of assignments and maintaining a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction

- Represent the Firm at seminars/tax forums/suitable meets, write articles at various forums.

- M&A Tax/Transaction Tax Advisory and opinion on Merger, Demergers, Slump sales, Business Succession and Transaction Tax.

- Advisory on international tax issues such as Cross Border Transactions, DTAA aspects, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing, Permanent Establishments, inbound & outbound issues, Repatriations etc.

- Corporate Tax Planning & Advisory for strategic issues and complex tax matters including business reconstruction.

- Consultation & Advisory on Direct Taxation (Domestic & International).

- Representation before Investigation wing in search and seizure cases/Intelligence & Criminal Investigation (I&CI) Division/Investigation Wing/Assessing Officer in proceedings under The Black Money Law.

- Litigation support through assisting Senior counsels in preparing/representing appeals/ petitions before high courts and Supreme Court.

- Managing and mentoring the team to ensure timely delivery of quality work.

To qualify for this role, you must have:

Requisite Experience:

- Over 15 years of experience in Direct Tax Advisory/M&A Tax/Transaction Tax &/or Litigation services at reputed Consulting / CA firms / Law Firms / Industry.

OR

- Retired Tax senior from Top Consulting / CA Firms / Industry etc.

Requisite Qualification:

- Chartered Accountant/LLB
