PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
Leading media monitoring and firm-wide media coverage distributions. Supporting media engagement tracking and market and peer research and analysis. Developing internal reports and presentations that provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of media engagement. Supporting the broader Corporate Communications & Marketing team on presentations and other critical materials for senior-level stakeholders. Collaborating with External Communications team in the design and execution of tailored media relations programs that promote investment team priorities. Drafting communications (press releases, media talking points, Q&A, etc.) with exceptional eye for detail Facilitating review of work product with internal and external stakeholders, including Ares Legal and Compliance. Learning key skills in proactive and reactive media engagement, issues management and brand promotion. Managing multiple projects and tasks with business-critical deadlines. Delivering fresh ideas, produce high-quality work and drive results.QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, communications or journalism.Experience Required:
7–10 years of experience Working in a Communications or Media Relations roleGeneral Requirements:
Detail-oriented Experience at a regional, national, or global financial services firm Self-starter, outstanding communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently as well as with “the team” Excellent oral and written communication skills and digital literacy Strong command of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially PowerPointReporting Relationships
