Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Delhi for a Public Affairs Specialist responsible for managing organization's communication with the public, media and institutions/agencies, while supporting policy initiatives.
Position: Public Affairs Specialist
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Location: Delhi
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Campaigns: Design, execute, and evaluate communication programs and public information campaigns that advance agency goals and public understanding.
- Media Relations: Serve as the main contact for media inquiries, prepare press releases, respond to public and press questions, and monitor media coverage of agency activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organizations to institutions, policy makers, civic, and community meetings.
- Policy Support: Advise management on policy formulation, assess potential public reactions to proposed actions, and assist in articulating policy statements.
- Content Development: Prepare newsletters, brochures, presentations, social media materials, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research, analyze public opinion and regulatory trends, and prepare impact assessments and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Program Coordination: Organize outreach activities, educational initiatives, facility tours, public events, and emergency preparedness communications.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track public and media perceptions, recommend improvements for communication effectiveness, and report findings to management.
Educations & Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication for public, media, and internal audiences.
- Strategic thinking and advocacy skills to drive organizational interests in complex stakeholder environments.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present information in ways that foster understanding and build support for agency policies.
- Project management and event coordination abilities for public outreach and educational programming.
- MBA/Management in Public Affairs or related educational experience/certifications
