Role: Aws Windows Support IIS Engineer


Years of Experience: 6 to 8 Years


Location: Chennai


Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days


Shift: Rotational Shift (24/7)


- As a Windows Application Support Engineer for IIS (Internet Information Services), your primary responsibility is to provide technical support and expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows-based applications hosted on IIS.


- You will work closely with clients, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth operation of web applications and resolve any issues that may arise.


Key Responsibilities :


- Application Support: Provide technical support for Windows-based applications hosted on IIS. Assist clients and internal teams in troubleshooting application-related issues and ensure timely resolution.


- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve application-related incidents, including performance issues, server errors, and application crashes. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents.


- Server Configuration and Optimization: Configure and optimize IIS servers to ensure optimal performance and scalability of web applications. Monitor server resources, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance enhancements.


- Deployment and Release Management: Collaborate with development teams to facilitate smooth application deployments and releases. Ensure proper configuration and integration of applications

within the IIS environment.


- Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitor application and server performance using appropriate tools. Identify performance issues and take necessary actions to optimize application performance, including tuning server settings and optimizing code.


- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate documentation of support processes, troubleshooting steps, and configurations. Share knowledge and provide guidance to other team members and stakeholders.


- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, and project managers. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.


Requirements :


- Experience in supporting and troubleshooting Windows-based applications hosted on Microsoft IIS.


- Solid understanding of IIS configuration, performance tuning, and security best practices.


- Experience in diagnosing and resolving application issues, including server errors, performance bottlenecks, and application crashes.


- Experience with application deployment and release management in IIS environments.


- Experience on Cloud Technologies like AWS (Mandatory) , performing windows support in AWS cloud.


- Knowledge in Salesforce will be an added advantage.


- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, SCOM, Catchpoint.


- Should have analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet

tight deadlines.


- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and

stakeholders.


- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
